“Current news: The Great American Shit Show.
I made this political art video in 2016 as one of many efforts to warn Americans that Trump was going to win the election and become president and then we would have a lunatic as president with access to the nuclear codes. Everyone was convinced Hillary would win. We later learned the election was hacked.
Now we are walking into an election that is, reported by American intelligence and election security experts, going to be hacked again, and we need a major movement to raise social awareness on the simple measures provided to us by security experts of how we can implement a safer voting system. If not, the election is just going to be hacked. We will wake up post election and be so upset and there will be no recourse because we didn’t demand the four simple measures to safeguard our election. And then everything will get so much worse and our fun lives will be robbed from us and replaced with terror because we were favoring talking about who we are voting for or getting people to vote, but missed a detail that made the concluding difference.
That’s why the effort needs you.
So please, take heed. Don’t let our election get hacked.

After reading in the news this week that Democrats had declared Trump unstable for access to nuclear codes, I decided to play my #video Vote Wisely which I wrote, directed and performed in October of 2016 --back when my message in the video was considered extreme, or the video was regarded as "cool". As I worked yesterday I watched the video (where at times I even used the same exact wording as the news this week) as a reminder to myself at how slow this country is moving. It was a poetically unsatisfying moment filled with frustration of how much we could still get done even though the damage thus far so steep. Let us never give up striving for a better world. We can all do more. So let's!
Although I am disheartened over the state of the world, I absolutely LOVE life and never take its beauty for granted.
