DEMOCRACY ON THE LINE – NOVEMBER 29TH 2017

Throwback from the December 14th 2016 holiday gathering.

OUR DEMOCRACY IS SLIDING BY AND PEOPLE DON'T SEEM TO NOTICE.  PAY ATTENTION.

– Jennifer Elster

November 29th 2017

A moment from the holiday affair with NCP in my studio last night.  It was such a pleasure to listen, to have friends inside of the living exhibition at The Development, to share my poem about our need in the current times, talk and #dance, dance, dance. Cheers to the holiday season!

"Here is a performance  I did of a song I wrote 'Amid the Beauty'. Chris Colton played on my grandfathers piano. This has been an incredibly challenging year for us all and so much worse for so many.It has also been an incredible year with so many fantastic people and memories. 'Amid the beauty I see broken pieces everywhere. Amid the darkness I see beauty everywhere.'

Danger Pursues

"Let us feast.
Let us be weary.
In the ripest of times,
danger pursues.
Extend. I tell you extend to your brothers and sisters which is all of us together right now. We all need each other more than we know." -- Jennifer Elster November 2016

Where Are We Going?

Performance 2013

Song and Vocals: Jennifer Elster. Guitar: David Bronson. Drums: Orlando Edmonds

"Momma said the moon don't lie.
Eat your fire
disappear in the sky.
Leave you on earth to think about you and I.
I'm a love volcano.
Razor sharp.
Laser eyes.
But if you touch this, you know know what will happen... I'll..." --Jennifer Elster
